I’m slowly going deaf and blind. I received the verdict about ten years ago, and it looks like I have about ten years left with hearing and sight. In the past years I’ve lost my driver’s license, it’s become increasingly difficult for me to find my daughter when she is running around with the other kids at school, and I have to use more and more energy to read text on a screen. My life is a constant string of reminders that my eyesight is fading out fast.
Maybe that sounds tragic, but for me, it’s truly been a gift. It’s a reminder to use my time wisely. To figure out what the important things in life are, give them my all, and let go of the rest.
If I regret anything, it’s that I didn’t have this insight ten years earlier. To put it bluntly, I’ve spent thirty years living my life for others; it’s only since I got my wakeup call that I’ve really started living for myself.
Since I got the verdict that I had limited time with my hearing and eyesight, I’ve married an amazing woman, started a family, and become an entrepreneur and the CEO of the rapidly growing company GO DREAM. My dreams are becoming a reality because I found my call to action. And I’ve made it my mission to provide the same wakeup call to other people. Our time on earth isn’t unlimited. And I want to inspire people to realize their dreams while they can.
I’m going to share my own bucket list here, so you can follow how I go about actualizing my dreams. And maybe along the way, you’ll find your motivation to do the same.
